Interior designing is not merely decorating a house or an
office rather it is utilizing the space properly; planning and
projecting a concept with the character of an individual or his
activity in the mind.
Open landscaped spaces have a positive impact on human psyche. The
house or building is always visualized with the provision of its
closed spaces and open areas simultaneously. With the new house
goes the new garden. One always considers the house in the setting
of its landscape and garden. One can appreciate fully the scale of
the building in relation to its surrounding. These spaces cannot
only be visualized sitting out side but can also be enjoyed by
looking out from the large window panels. The approach to the
house is mostly taken care of as it is more easily appreciated by
the new arrivals. Lining the entrance steps at the front of the
house with pots spilling out over with greenery and flowering
shrubs shows dazzling effect against the house. Some times an
avenue is designed leading to the main entrance gate. Other areas
of vital importance are the one's visible from the rooms used
maximum and which invite flow of movement from inside to the lawn
terraces e.g., the TV lounge or other sitting places. There is no
limit to decoration as far as open areas are concerned. There can
be enclosed patios, pergolas, sunken gardens, hard landscaped
areas with a combination of brick, paving tiles, cobble and grass
arranged in decorative patterns. Some times the interior is made
to seem larger by providing large view windows and admitting a
flood of natural light. The architects some times create illusion
of space by merging the inside space with the courtyard allowing
free flow and easy access. Cast iron railing, wrought iron
furniture, sculpture pieces, beautifully designed light poles and
fountains enhance the beauty of the lawns. Placing of indoor
plants inside the room is also not very uncommon as it gives nice
fresh look and this internal placement of green vegetation nicely
blends with internal colour scheme of walls and furniture. If any
water element is introduced it accentuates the beauty. A
landscaped swimming pool, or small pond partially shadowed with
ferns and shrubs filled with aquatic plants, sprinkling water
fountains adorned with decorative sculptures complements the house
and are real source of inspiration. They are needed to be
compatible with their locations. One has to make concerted effort
to integrate the water feature with the landscape in order to
create an inviting garden oasis. These areas are mostly designed
for the entertainment purposes like coffee parties and dinners.
These can easily be arranged in such areas to offer an alluring
retreat. Cultivation of imagination can only be achieved with
sitting leisurely on a deck or under pergolas taking inspiration
from the romantic aroma around.

let's not forget we, the publication people also form part of
the same set-up as they do and (whether we like it or not) are
heavily inter dependant on each other for sustenance and
survival. And wouldn't it be a bit insensible to unveil a part
of your very own self, by yourself?
